Call for Presentations

Technical Session Topics

The Technical Session Committee invites you to submit abstracts for presentations or papers to be presented at the conference.  The primary categories are as follows:

Remote Sensing & GIS
Many would argue that satellite Remote Sensing technologies triggered the explosion of the widespread use of GIS over the past two decades. Within the last several years, the world has seen the emergence of whole new generations of satellites supporting a wide range of applications. These range from low-resolution hyperspectral sensors directed at global and synoptic level Earth studies (NASA's Mission to Planet Earth) to high- resolution SAR sensors for mapping areas of heavy cloud cover (RADARSAT) to ultra-high resolution multispectral sensors for regional and local scale mapping (IKONOS, QuickBird).  This broad field will attract papers from many disciplines.  Some suitable topics may include:
Radar Mapping Applications Multi-Resolution and Multi-Temporal Analysis
Cultural and Physical Boundary Detection Thermal Imaging Applications
Remote Sensing and the Environment Extra-Terrestrial Remote Sensing
Geologic Applications Change Detection
Stereo Remote Sensing Hyperspectral Imagery
Neural Networks and Other Classification Techniques Atmospheric Studies
