Notification of Acceptance:
You will be notified of the acceptance of your presentation by October 1, 2003. Presenters whose proposals are accepted are required to submit electronic presentations (in PowerPoint format) for publication in the conference Proceedings.  These electronic presentations are due on or before October 1, 2003. The proceedings will contain the submitted presentations and will be available for download from the SHRUG website after the Workshop.  Project Showcase Presenters will be notified of the date, time and room assignment by October 19, 2003.

Selection Criteria:
Submissions must address the following for a project or application  to be considered:

Description of Project/Application:  The description must be thorough, informative, and succinct.  The description should be limited to 150 words or less.

Subject Interest: Selection preference will be given to papers which present original projects and / or make a significant contribution to increasing knowledge-level for attendees.  If possible, please find a way to highlight the theme of this year's conference - "Expanding Our Boundaries."

Please Note:

	Demonstrations should not market specific commercial products and services.
	Vendors are welcome to demonstrate, but the demonstration should be within the context of research and / or development and should not be a product endorsement.
	All abstract submissions are due on or before *  Closed *
	Presenters will be notified of acceptance on or before October 1, 2003.
	Internet Connection will be provided.
	There will be a practice room for demonstrators.

A limited number of computers and large-screen monitors will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.  On your submission form, please check YES or NO in the Equipment section to indicate whether or not you need a computer and monitor.  If your proposed demonstration is accepted, you will be notified to confirm your equipment reservation.  Individuals are encouraged to use their own computers/laptops for their showcase demonstration.
