Submission Guidelines and Format
Workshop
attendees may submit one or more posters; however, only one poster may
be submitted as an individual and one as part of a team.
There is no additional charge for submitting a poster.
The Poster Committee will make every attempt to accommodate as
many posters as possible; however, we reserve the right to limit the
number of posters displayed as the available space is filled.
To submit a poster or map, follow the link below and simply
specify a category, supply a title, and provide an optional short
description. A picture is
worth a thousand words, so keep your title succinct!

Provisions
for
display of posters will include a poster board hung from the
Civic
Center’s standard hanging curtain backdrop. The mounting boards
provided will be 48"x 60" and may be hung in portrait or
landscape orientation. Please specify the correct orientation when
submitting the entry. Posters will need to be affixed directly to
the poster board by the submitters prior to the start of the
conference. Pins will
be available to attach posters to the mounting board. Please
construct your posters with this in mind.
|
Poster
participants are also encouraged to bring copies of supplemental
materials such as handouts where appropriate for Workshop
participants to take. Please note that while
October
31, 2003,
is the final deadline for submittal, earlier submissions are
encouraged so they may be published in the Workshop program.

Setup Information:
Hanging:
Posters can be hung in the Exhibit Hall from
8:00 a.m.
until
noon
on Wednesday, November 19th.
The poster area will be furnished in a "rail and
hanging curtain" style. SHRUG
will provide a 48"x60" sheet of foam core board hanging
from the top rail as a mounting surface.
The correct orientation of the mounting board (landscape or
portrait) should have been provided with your submittal.
|
Mounting:
Please be prepared to pin your poster to this foam core board.
Mounting pins will be provided for this purpose. If you prefer to
clip or otherwise attach your poster, please bring your own
supplies. In order to preserve the mounting boards for future use,
please do not use tape. A
number specifying your poster location will be provided in the
Workshop program, listed next to your poster.
This numbered list will also be emailed for
your convenience. When
you are ready to display your poster enter the Exhibit Hall,
locate the corresponding numbered space and hang your poster
there. SHRUG staff
will be on hand to assist as needed.
If you have any questions regarding the logistics of the
poster session, please feel free to contact Robin Hoban (email is
preferred; see contact information below).
