Notification of Acceptance:

If accepted, you may provide a full paper
for distribution in the Workshop Proceedings. The proceedings
will contain the submitted abstracts and papers and will be available
for download from the SHRUG website after the Workshop. Please
contact individual presenters to get copies of slideshow presentations.
Presenters
will be notified of the date, time and room assignment by
October, 19, 2003.

Selection
Criteria:
Submissions
must address the following for an abstract to be considered:
Abstracts:
The abstracts must be thorough, informative, and succinct. The
abstract should be clear and understandable to the reader
without reference to the finished paper. Abstracts should be
limited to 150 words or less.

Subject Interest:
Selection preference will be given to papers that present
original work and/or make a significant contribution to the
literature. Presentations should address one or more of the
primary conference topics.

Innovation:
Preference will be given to presentations describing
cutting-edge technologies or analysis methodologies that have a
significant impact on the mapping industry today.

Content:
Presentations should not market specific commercial products and
services. Vendors are welcome to present but if the forum is
intended to be a standard presentation, the content should be
specific to research and/or development and should not be a
product endorsement. To submit a proposal for a product
endorsement presentation, please select the “Vendor Track”
option on the submission form. |

Presentation
Options:
Presenters may organize their presentation according to one of the
following three options. Please indicate on the submission form
which option you prefer for your proposal.
Single Presentation:
An individual presentation that will be scheduled with two
other presentations to form a session 90 minutes in length. Each
presenter is allotted 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for
questions. |
Complete Session:
A session comprised of three individual presentations, SUBMITTED
TOGETHER, with a common theme. A complete session is 90 minutes
in length. |
Panel Discussion:
A 90-minute presentation that encourages interaction and
discussion between the panelists and the attendees. A Panel
Discussion is comprised of at least three panelists, each
speaking on a different aspect of a particular topic. |
