Call for Presentations

Technical Session Topics

The Technical Session Committee invites you to submit abstracts for presentations or papers to be presented at the conference.  The primary categories are as follows:

Hazard Mitigation & Homeland Security
For many years, GIS has been an important tool for disaster planning and recovery at all levels of government.  Since September 11, 2001, these issues have become central to the efforts of many professionals in the GIS field.  Some relevant topics may include:
Organizational Implications for GIS: How are they changing? Data Security: Redaction and Freedom of Information Issues
How have governmental policies been affected? Emergency Response Planning
Improvements in Data Sharing: Standards, Communication and Access Homeland Security and GIS
