| Mr.
DeMulder is the technical architect of the
USGS's plan for The National Map, the Nation's topographic
map for the 21st Century. The National Map is an
innovative modernization of the approach the USGS uses to
deliver geospatial data associated with USGS quad sheets.
He will discuss the status of this bold endeavor; the role
of partnerships with all levels of Government, the private
sector, and academia; the institutional and technological
challenges; and how The National Map relates to other
Federal mapping activities. Every GIS professional will be
affected by this sweeping initiative. |
