Call for Presentations

Technical Session Topics

The Technical Session Committee invites you to submit abstracts for presentations or papers to be presented at the conference.  The primary categories are as follows:

Enterprise Architecture
Enterprise GIS is an important component of efficient GIS operations, both public and private.  To realize the value of investing in enterprise GIS, these systems must integrate the worlds of IS and GIS.  Often there are significant challenges to making the enterprise GIS model a reality.  Legacy systems, lengthy procurement cycles, and organizational inertia must be addressed. Enterprise GIS also presents new challenges, such as flexibility, planning, and maintenance.  These sessions  focus on successful enterprise GIS operations (both large and small) and the steps/processes that were undertaken to make them so.  Some topics to consider for these sessions include:
Strategic Planning and Policy Development Integration of GIS into the Business Process
Infrastructure and Data: Management and Maintenance Database Design: Enterprise Considerations
Technology Tools Pitfalls
