Call for Presentation

Technical Session Topics

The Technical Session Committee invites you to submit abstracts for presentations or papers to be presented at the conference.  The primary categories are as follows:

GIS Data Structures & Data Models
Data structures and data models are critical for a functional GIS.  Many raster and vector data structures are available for mapping spatial data and many software products provide tremendous flexibility in organizing associated attribute data. This session looks at organizing geospatial data and the capabilities of database models.  Some suggested topics are:
Objects with Indeterminate Boundaries Data Model Implementation and Migration
Data Structure Considerations Topology or Not Topology
Rules-Based and Object-Based Data Models Raster vs. Vector Data Structures
Characterizing and Modeling Landscape Dynamics 3-D Topology: The Hole in the Donu
