The curriculum of the ArcSDE roundtable
session will focus on four areas of emphasis. The first area
shows how the technology fits within the entire ESRI product
line. The second area, will examine the technology’s
relationship with non-ESRI technologies (e.g. ArcSDE and RDBMS).
Followed by an overview of the of the technology to include:
Configuring Oracle to support ArcSDE, Configuring ArcSDE DBTUNE
parameter, Calculating a spatial index, Creating users and
assign privileges, Planning and manage storage, memory, and I/O
contention, Creating multiple instances, Loading vector data,
and Mosaic/Loading raster data with ERDAS Imagine. Relevant tips
and tricks from actual implementation and use of these
technologies.
